Cleanup Plan
Cleanup Performance to Date:
- We have "Left Absolutely! No Trace" in the past, 1997-2004.
- We have also participated in Playa Cleanup.
- In 1999, we researched all Nevada disposal sites for Maid Marian -- this information was published in "Jack Rabbit Speaks".
Our Commitments this year:
- We will again commit, in writing to "Leave No Trace".
- We will have all participants sign a pledge.
- We will restore Picasso Camp to original condition.
- All human traces will be removed (cigarette butts, any trash, stakes, etc).
- The small holes used for placing poles will be filled, leveled & raked smooth.
- All trash will be removed from site, and disposed of properly in Reno.
- We will cleanup any trash from adjacent roads and areas.
- We will assist in cleaning up the greater playa following cleanup of our camp.
- As we did in years past, we will double bag all trash, and take in an enclosed truck to the Lockwood Landfill.
- We will encourage our campers (many local), to participate in one or more post event cleanups.
